Before you do this one, scroll down to the footer on your site so you can see what happens as you change the style, background and footer items.

Here you can change the color of the background, which will be consistent with your theme.  You can also select which items the footer will display:

As you change them you can see what it looks like live in your site editing as in the screen shot below.
